Before we work with sensitive formulas or product ideas, we will, upon request, conclude an NDA (non-disclosure agreement).

You send us:

• an existing recipe
• a list of active ingredients
• or just a product idea with desired benefits

We then check:

• technical feasibility
• Stability & Synergies
• Dosages & Target Groups
• Production capacity per dosage form
• Selection of suitable raw materials
• potential regulatory stumbling blocks

Through our network in European and global raw materials trading, as well as our own warehouse, we can:

• Check raw materials for availability
• Suggest suitable alternatives
• Consider BfR/EFSA compliance
• Highlighting the risks of novel foods
• Pay attention to price stability and supply chain

For particularly complex products, we offer testing by experienced NEM experts – e.g.:

Based on all previous tests, we create a theoretically producible formula that is both technically and regulatory sound. This formula forms the basis for further planning and – very importantly – for the preparation of your individual offer.

In the final development phase, we take the following into account:

• Selection of available raw materials
• Dosage and active ingredient matrix
• NRV calculations
• Synergies of the ingredients
• Assessment of the dosage form (e.g. expected capsule size, tablet format, solubility)
• potential production indicators (e.g. flow behavior, compaction, flavor components)

This formula allows us to calculate precise production costs and minimum quantities, so you receive a transparent and realistically feasible offer.

The important thing is:

The formula represents a preliminary technical feasibility. Actual manufacturability will only be determined through practical testing – for example, on the production machine or in the laboratory. Minor adjustments during the process are therefore possible and will always be closely and transparently coordinated with you.

Thanks to our experience with over 1000 developed products, we can provide a very reliable assessment early on of which formulations are technically achievable and where there is potential for optimization.

Depending on the dosage form, we offer various options for the practical verification of the formulation:

Powders & Protein Blends

Here we offer sample productions upon request, in order to:

• The taste
• solubility
• Color scheme
• Mouthfeel
• Sweetening systems

to test and optimize together with you.

For higher costs, compensation will be provided.

Liquids & Syrups

For liquid formulations, we create test samples which are then evaluated and fine-tuned in a feedback round.

Especially with syrups, a pattern is often crucial for taste, texture, and stability.

Capsules & Tablets

A true sample production is only possible here when corresponding quantities of raw materials are available – either through provision by the customer or through our procurement.

However, we can check in advance whether:

• the powder fits into the desired capsule size
• is the targeted fill quantity realistic
• Flow behavior or compaction may provide clues for later adjustments.

Final validation only takes place on the production machine. This is where it becomes clear whether:

• The pressure must be adjusted.
• Mixing ratios are stable
• Grain size differences make a difference
• Fill weights run constant
• Measures such as flow aids or binders are necessary
